This sweet boy. I stopped by his moms this morning on my way to the office. I got my hugs and pep talk before I went into the void of the day. Tyler then made the trip to meet with teams at UCSF and sat through some big conversations. He went in well prepared and had his Uncle Weaves and Jenny in each meeting (I joined the calls too). He had prepared all his questions and had already been informed what his options would look like. Tyler is apart of every single step. This is his journey and frankly he knows more than the majority of any adult in the room. Tyler trusts science and every member on his team at the hospital, his four parents, his siblings and his advocates. So onto the next step! I’m just grateful I get to do them with my guy. 🚨My disclaimer here is I share this as many care and are behind this sweet young man. I would like to remind people asking what he is specifically dealing with or his specific treatment is not something I will share as it’s not mine to do so, it’s Tyler’s. Also Tyler has siblings and parents. We are all going through this with him. It’s painful, raw and frankly life being cruel to the one who is truly the purest as they come. So please send prayers, send love and respect our respect for Tyler and understand when asking people while they are in such a journey questions that serve your curiosity is painful and sometimes cruel to the ones living in it. #teamTYLER #teamrodden
